Hi parents! Thanks for joining Pebble, a voice-based thought partner designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and learning for children and their families. Pebble is operated by Generative Spark Inc., based in Delaware, USA. These Terms explain how Pebble works, what’s expected of you and your family, and how we keep everyone safe.
By creating an account or allowing a child to use Pebble, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who These Terms Apply To
For Kids: Ask your grown-up before you use Pebble. They’re in charge of your account and can help if you have questions.
These Terms apply to all parents or legal guardians (“you”) who register an account with Pebble and to the children (“kids” or “child users”) invited to use Pebble under that account.
1.1 Parents and Guardians
Pebble accounts may only be created by a parent or legal guardian (“Parent”). Parents are responsible for all activity conducted by child users under their account.
1.2 Child Users
Children may only use Pebble under a Parent account and with verifiable parental consent.
1.3 Eligibility
You represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms and that all information you provide is accurate.
2. Parental Consent and Children’s Data
For Kids: Only grown-ups can say yes to you using Pebble. They can see what you do and help keep you safe.
2.1 Verifiable Parental Consent
Pebble requires verifiable parental consent in accordance with applicable laws, including COPPA, GDPR, and UK GDPR. We use a method called “email-plus” parental consent to verify that a grown-up approves a child’s participation.
2.2 Parental Rights
Parents have the right to:
review their child’s personal data,
request deletion or correction,
withdraw consent at any time,
restrict certain uses of the Service.

3. What Pebble Is
For Kids: Pebble is your friendly voice buddy! You can chat, learn, and create together.
Pebble is a voice-based thought partner available on web and iOS. It helps children explore ideas, learn skills, and express creativity through interactive conversations and visuals. Pebble also offers a parent experience, helping grown-ups stay connected with their child’s progress and creative moments.
3.1 No Professional Advice
Pebble does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or educational certification services. Content generated by Pebble is for informational and creative purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
4. Privacy, Recordings, and AI Processing
For Kids: We keep your chats and photos safe. You can share pictures of your work with Pebble — like drawings, projects, or things you’ve made. Pebble only wants to see your creations, not photos of people!
We take privacy seriously. Pebble records and stores audio and conversation history to enable the Service, support learning reflection, and ensure safety. Audio recordings are retained for the life of the account and are deleted when the account is closed. Parents may request deletion of audio recordings at any time.
Children can upload photos to share their work with Pebble. Photos should be of objects, artwork, projects, or other creations — not of people. Pebble automatically screens uploaded images and will reject photos that appear to contain people; rejected images are not stored. Photos of work that are successfully uploaded are retained for the life of the account to support learning reflection and continuity, and are deleted when the account is closed. Parents may request deletion of specific photos at any time. We also use image generation features that may include your child’s creative input.
4.1 Processing of Content
Pebble may process voice recordings, text, images, photos, and other inputs to:
operate the Service,
ensure safety and moderation,
personalise experiences,
improve functionality.
All recordings and data are handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-UK).
4.2 Data Minimisation and Retention
We apply data minimisation principles and retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
4.3 Model Improvement
Pebble may use aggregated and anonymised data to improve the Service. We do not use identifiable children’s data for model training beyond what is permitted by applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Parents can review or delete their child’s data anytime by contacting support@iampebble.com.
5. Accounts and Security
For Kids: Your grown-up keeps your account safe. Tell them if something seems wrong.
Parents are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activity under their account. Please keep your account details safe. If you think someone else is using your account, contact us right away at support@iampebble.com.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
For Kids: Pebble is something your grown-up pays for. Ask your parents if you want to buy something!
Pebble offers recurring subscriptions, which may be purchased directly through our website or the Apple App Store. Payments are processed securely by third-party partners like Stripe.
6.1 Recurring Charges
By purchasing a subscription, you agree to recurring charges until you cancel. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Pebble account or the App Store settings.
6.2 Free Trials and Promotions
We may offer free trials, promotions, or discounts from time to time.
6.3 Refunds
Unless stated otherwise, all paid subscriptions are non-refundable once a billing period has started, except as required by law.
7. Safe and Respectful Use
For Kids: Be kind and respectful. Don’t say or share anything that could hurt others.
Pebble is meant to be a positive and safe space. You and your child agree not to:
use Pebble in a way that breaks any law,
try to copy, hack, or damage Pebble,
upload or say things that are harmful, illegal, or disrespectful,
upload photos containing images of people.
If we detect unsafe or inappropriate use, we may pause or close your account.
8. Intellectual Property
For Kids: The Pebble world, characters, and designs belong to Pebble. The things you make belong to you!
8.1 Pebble IP
Everything in Pebble (like its software, design, art, and voice content) belongs to Generative Spark Inc. or our partners. You can use Pebble for your family’s personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
8.2 User Content
Creative content made by your child within Pebble (like stories, drawings, photos, or ideas) belongs to your family. By using Pebble, you grant Pebble a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process such content solely to operate and improve the Service.
8.3 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by Pebble may not be unique and may be similar to content generated for other users. Pebble makes no warranties regarding originality or non-infringement.
9. Safety and Moderation
For Kids: We do our best to make Pebble a safe place for you.
Pebble is committed to providing safe, age-appropriate content for children. We employ multiple layers of automated and human moderation and continuously work to improve our safety measures. If you ever encounter content that concerns you, please report it immediately to safety@iampebble.com so we can address it. While we strive to ensure safety, Pebble is an AI-powered service and we do not guarantee that all content will be accurate.
10. Ending or Changing Your Account
For Kids: You can stop using Pebble anytime. Ask your parents for help.
Parents can cancel their subscription or delete their account at any time. Pebble may also suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or any laws.
We may update or change Pebble’s features or these Terms occasionally. When we do, we’ll post an updated version and note the new effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
For Kids: We do our best to make Pebble awesome, but sometimes things might go wrong.
Pebble is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work hard to make it safe, fun, and reliable, we can’t promise it will always work perfectly or be free from interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pebble disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
12. Limitation of Liability
Generative Spark Inc. is not responsible for losses or damages that happen because of technical issues, internet outages, or misuse, except where required by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pebble shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Pebble’s total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Pebble in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 United States Users
If a dispute arises that we can’t resolve informally, it will be handled by binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, using Delaware law. Arbitration means both you and Pebble agree not to go to court (except for small-claims matters) and not to join any class-action lawsuit.
You may still bring a claim in your local small-claims court if it qualifies.
13.2 EU/UK Users
For EU and UK users, mandatory consumer protection laws apply. Courts of your country of residence may have jurisdiction where required by law.
